Located in an auxillary side pocket of Humboldt Park, in between West Town, The Patch, and East Garfield Park. In this area I vaguely recall Boston’s (RIP) and Feed (RIP in 2025). Not really walkable to anywhere central, but the California bus stops nearby at Chicago Ave.
Inside, the back bar is antique modern with cool lighting and exposed brick throughout the place. Eclectic decor, paintings, rugs, elk skulls. Unique, cozy, and comfortable. Lots of patio space outside for warmer weather.
Beer selection was great. Six house beers served on draft straight from the tanks. Two APAs: one MI and one NZ, Fall Beer: a rye amber lager, a nice brown ale, stout, and IPA. All crisp and clean, easy to session a few pints of. Stille Nacht, Daisy Cutter, Eris guest drafts. Crowlers available to go.
Eric the bartender chatted with us and shared more about the brewery and the house beers. A rotating small batch approach, with traditional style session beers.
Overall it was a great experience, and I’ll be sure to return soon.
