Had Runnin' Up That Helles at Monkey Town - Chattanooga on draft into unfortunate tumbler.
Pours gold with clarity and 1- to 2-finger, foamy off-white head, with good retention, leaving some splotchy lace scattered down the glass. Mild aromas of sweet malt and grassy hops off pour, then some tart fruit, maybe peach, and a generally "beery" follow-on aroma. Begins crisply carbonated, with some herbal hop bite and tart stone fruit up front, over sweet mild malt, and more generic fruit, perhaps melon, before a similarly crisp finish.
A true to style Helles but--or and, as may be to your taste--a bit rough around the edges.
