A: Dark amber to ruby colored body. 3 finger light tan head with aggressive pour that settles into a film that leaves a little lacing.
S: Sweet caramel, with a touch of alcohol. Herbal. Getting some wood / oak notes, however I don't think this was barrel aged. Butterscotch and some dark fruit.
T: Sweet malt, dark fruit. Little burn from the alcohol in the back of the throat. Grainy. Not terribly complicated, but still pretty good.
MF: Lots of carbonation for the style, so its rather prickly. labeling this one as a barleywine is a rather liberal use of the term, as it is very light for the style.
O: Its tasty, but not a barleywine. Maybe more of an old ale
