Tasted by half-pint at my local JDW pub, the Half Moon, East End London.
A: dark amber hue, a bit of chill-haze, coming with a fluffy off-white beer head slowly dissipating. Overall I think it's served slightly over-chilled for a real ale...
S: very light, refreshing aroma of citric fruits and dried grass/hays upfront; overly restrained as, again, the serving temp. is way too low.
T: on the palate it's refreshing, softly-carbonated, and fruity hoppy, suggesting citric-zesty and spicy edge of Goldings; gradually leading to a biscuity sweetness as of mildly-kilned malts, while a restrained hoppy bitterness lingers in the intriguingly crisp finish.
M&D: soft on the mouthfeel as well as refreshing due to the light fizziness. But overall this is yet another understated/conservative bitter by Ventnor's brewery. It could've been more quaffable, though, and I blame Wetherspoon's for its under-performance this time.
