Pours a nice dark chestnut brown with one fat finger of beige head that leaves a decent sheet of frosty lace as it recedes.
Smells of cocoa, cold creamy coffee, roasted nuts, dark bread, chocolate biscotti, and some earthy, herbal hops.
Tastes of iced coffee, nutty caramel malt, semi-sweet cocoa drink mix, more crusty brown bread and more earthy English hops.
Feels soft and lovely. Medium bodied with silky carbonation. Finishes off-dry.
Verdict: Highly recommended. A nice warm hug of a brown ale, just in time for cool weather.
