Single can - no date and though refrigerated does have a few months of age.
Pours a very dark brown bleeding into black with a finger and a half of tan head - laces nicely.
Nose on opening the can shouts IPA - piney resin, grapefruit - but with hints of coffee. The coffee and chocolate aroma become more pronounced as warms.
Surprisingly sweet and malty on the palate - chocolate, roasty coffee - spicy earthy hops but much softer pine and faint citrus notes with a subtle bitterness.
Medium mouthfeel - smooth with an easy drinking bittersweetness - very tasty and drinkable.
In the end this was really good, though perhaps lacking the resiny pine kick and bitterness that the nose teased.
