Vortex Brewing Company

We arrived for a few beers and dinner just before dusk. Parking out back we noticed the barbecue/smoker being tended to by the back door, smelled amazing.
There was live music out in the dining room, and it was crowded so we opted to sit at the bar.
I also noticed some outdoor seating out front.
The beer flight I had was great, as were the larger pours. I do like that they offered several size pours instead of only pints.
My wife ordered a pizza, which was really good, I opted to get a side salad and a Stromboli filled with chopped meat from the smoker along with other goodies. Both were delicious.
The fridge adjacent to the bar had singles, 4 packs, and make your own 4 packs available to go.
Recommended, and would definitely go back.

Stopped in on a random Wednesday night. Beautiful downtown New Freedom, PA - highest point on the NCRR rail trail. Nice building - fairly modern, but fits in well with the rail trail vibe. Wednesday night was trivia night; despite that, the experience was thoroughly enjoyable. Service was excellent, as were their pizza and their chili. Beers were limited to their own offerings, but I had two (Derailed DIPA and High Rail Hazy) and they were both excellent. This is quite convenient (about 15 minutes from home) so I'm sure we'll revisit.
