Tasted by half pint at the Wenlock Arms on 05/01/06.
A: dark brownish hue with a negligible beer head, nice clarity and low carbonation.
S: dark malts with a touch of fruitiness like plums. Quite simplistic and straight forward.(or maybe because I sat too close to the wall-radiator so the smell was subdued?)
T:refreshingly dryish dark maltiness and Americano-coffeeish flavour wrapped in a dark-fruity coating with a vinous touch, lingering and dryish bitter aftertaste, with a herbal hint in the end.
M&D: light and refreshing on the mouthfeel, with a healthy body for its light profile and alc. strength. A decent, if not exciting, mild ale.
