(Added as a US stout due to the use of US Summit hops)
Cold 500ml bottle poured into a straight pint glass and allowed to warm up.
Pours an inky black colour, little bit more watery than I expected.
Smells quite rich, dark and burnt malts, with some pungent oily hops.
Tastes very much of liquorice, balanced with a little malty sweetness, and the hops taking somewhat of a backseat (Unless Summit hops have a liquorice taste?). Well hidden alcohol and a nicely drinkable mouthfeel.
Overall quite a good beer, with all the taste of a 6% beer but the body and heat of a 4% one.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
