Canned 06/19/25, into a wide wine glass.
Pours a thick orange with very little foam, completely opaque. Aroma is candied oranges, bitter grapefruit rind, and heavy pine dankness. Very potent, almost like a 3Floyds TIPA. Flavor follows nose with an extreme burst of dank rotten oranges and candied fruit, alongside a very sweet booziness. There's very little bitterness here, just a lot of very overripe fruit and a good amount of brown sugar and molasses. It reminds me of a scaled-down less angry version of Dogfish Head 120 Minute, in that it's just so much Citra with a huge body. Feel is good, kind of syrupy and very boozy, but there's not a ton of ethanol.
Overall, Marble Fox retains their title of best TIPA in Nashville. This is a difficult drinking experience very similar to something like Permanent Funeral by 3Floyds, but it's still very enjoyable. I was shocked at how little alcohol presence there was and how much intense hop flavor there was to be had, and I think the candied orange flavors of Citra are criminally underutilized. Overall, lovely TIPA.
