Tasted by half pint at the Lord of the Mall, JDW pub nr. Trafalgar Sq., London.
A: very dark straw hue with burned hints, coming with a fluffy foamy head leaving quite fine lacing along the way; very low carbonation.
S: fruity and semi-sweet honeyish aroma upfront, buttressed by a deeper, summer blossom's (jasmine) flowery scent of hops and some touches of ooh-long tea... so softly fragrant and pleasant! Yet after a few minutes, as the flowery note ebbs away, a lightly sulphury note comes through~~
T: lightly, freshly-mown hay and medium-bodied maltiness upfront, followed immediately by licorice hints and flowery hops with a touch of saltiness underneath the malts... herbal sweet and attenuated finish.
M&D: for its flavour profile, the body is slightly thin and the mouthfeel a bit too flat... An aromatic and semi-tasty bitter in need of a fuller body.
