Alt, German for “old,” is a traditional medium-bodied ale in which we use an array of the finest German malts & a generous smount of noble hops to produce a crisp, clean and refreshing “bier.”

A - this alt arrivesa light maplewood brown color, with a thin white head and light carbonation
S - it has a very wheaty aroma with a roasted malt background, quite enticing
T - the taste is very similar to the aroma, wheaty with strong roasted malt characteristics, very refreshing with a tart finish
M&D - the wheatiness lends a chewiness to the brew, easy down and tasty, CBH continues to impress

Draught @ Brewpub: This one pours a slightly hazy coppery color. There was some head, and what was there lingered awhile and left some lacing. The nose has hints of caramel and some slightly peppery hops in there also. Maybe a whiff of fruits also. An interesting taste. Slightly sweet and also a very slightly peppery. This has a drier finish. A really nice balance between the malts and hops. Another keeper.
