Poured from a growler into a pint glass.

Dark brown, opaque color which is a nice dark mahogany when held close to a light, Smallish, darkish tand head which does hang on for a bit. Some sheet lacing initially.

The smell was weakest attribute. Some roast and hints of chocolate/toffee, but not prominent enough for the style.

Nice roast taste starts it up, with good toffee/chocolate tones, some dried fruit too. Quite balanced with just a bit of bitterness in the finish.

Mouthfeel was a little thin for the style, but otherwise rounded and good.

ABV is well hidden and this one is sessionable.

Overall, while it's not the Porter's Porter, another solid offering from CBH and Dave W.

Someone beat me to adding this one in. Took home a growler of this on my first, and definately not last, visit to The Cambridge House.

Quite dark with brown highlights. Tan head, some stick to the glass. Weak retention. Aroma of brownie adn fudge with some darker sugar, caramel hints. Nice roasted flavor, chocolate fudge again, roasted coffee. Lingering roast, not overly acrid in teh finish. A bit smoother than a really roast dry stout. Mouthfeel comes acorss medium bodied, definately no thick of full. Carbonation is good, even from the growler. Good drinkability stemming from the nice flavor profile and easy drinking mouthfeel.

Draught @ Brewpub: this one pours a very dark, opaque brown color. There was a very small tan head with a little bit of lacing. The nose is very roasty, with some chocolate notes also. The taste is roasty, some coffee and chocolate malts, with just a touch of bitterness at the end. This is a very tasty brew. It is smooth and very drinkable.
