Draught in Granby: This one pours an opaque dark brown. There was a very small tan head, which left a small amount of lacing. The nose has notes of oak, bourbon, chocolate and caramel. The taste is very good. It is a bit dry to the start. Chocolate, roastiness and just a hint of bourbon. Very smooth. Somewhere between medium and full bodied. Very Nice!

Enjoyed at the Granby Brew Pub this black beauty presents a decent tan foam and luscious lacing. The aroma brings roasted malt and some licorice sweetness, maybe even some pine/evergreen in the mix. Very nice. The flavor brings another wave of licorice and chewy roasted malt with a charcoal overtone. This stuff is near full bodied and provides a beautiful velvetty feel that combines with some friskiness from tiny, but ever present, carbonation. There's a subtle pine/grass hop and evidence of a little alcohol here as well, but nothing to upset the experience. A very enjoyable taste treat!
