An interesting addition to the wide beer spectrum. If you love Pilsners and always wished your Pils had a little Belgian hint to the malt profile, this one is for you. Due to its belgian influence it has just a bit heftier mouthfeel than typical pilsner with a faintly sweet finish. It’s very good. Credit to Monkless for expanding the range of available beers.

Look: Light yellow with hints of orange and quickly, a sudsy head builds and slowly settles to a lid, leaving webs of lacing behind
Aroma: Soda crackers, spicy hop notes, pilsner malt, biscuit, light earthiness, and hints of honey
Taste: Opens up with a lovely and tasty hop blend that brings spicy, earthy, and floral all into play with a ton of depth and continues to deepen. Subtle cracker and biscuit notes weave around the hops, playing nicely and complimenting them as hops regain steam to close it out
Mouthfeel: Light but full, clean, medium-high carbonation, and clean and crisp on the finish
Overall: This is some good stuff. A new one for me and a cool gift from my co-worker, plus a little curve ball from these folks who are known for their Belgian ales. It’s a tasty and well-made Pilsner that, like the “Belgian-Style” descriptor, doesn’t fit into either the German or Czech mold with a very delicate malt presence and a blend of floral, spicy, and earthy hops. Delicious and recommended

belgian pils, i appreciate the stab at this specifically, and the beer is fine, but it doesnt necessarily hit as belgian to me, not that i was expecting anything super exotic, this is a little outside their usual wheelhouse, but i think the execution is pretty good, a nice slightly richer yellow beer, probably a needed add to their lineup with all the strong stuff they do. nice golden glow, fizzy and quick rising and settling white head, some sweetness and noble hop character are evident in the nose, almost corny to me, but good minerality here, bready and biscuity, hearty and light enough at the same time, could maybe be a little fresher, something a little saggy about the lager yeast to my nose. the flavor starts a little tighter, its just the water and the bready yeast up front, there is some middle sweetness and an almost tea-like herbal and floral element before the actual hop bitterness kicks up, which is a little more bold than in many and i dig what it does in here, but this is maybe just a bit more flavorful overall than lends itself to high volume consumption, and part of that is the proportionality not just the little extra body it has. slightly metallic to me as it warms which heavies it too, straw and hay and grassy character from the hops, husky and hully on the grain side with some fading sweetness, light lemon, an almost rye malt note, hop bitterness very late, and unfortunately a little oxidation in this can. i see the appeal and like it being a little different, the richness is fine this time of year, but this isnt one i feel compelled to put on repeat, and i much prefer their belgian ales overall.

Clear yellow golden brew with abundant foam in the Blanche de Chambly glass. Aroma of straw and topsoil. Light and sudsy on the tongue. Flavor is resiny with a mineral finish. Green and grassy tasting. A woody aftertaste with plenty of bitterness. Some astringency, like green fruit. Not a favorite for me. From the 16 oz can purchased at the Community Co-op locally. Stamped "Batch 591."

Greenish yellow color. Weak, generic beer smell. Not a ton of flavor beyond a bitter middle note. Maybe this is a Belgian variant on a Pilsner, but not much Belgian character comes through.

16oz can from Brewers Haven. Clear golden, one finger foamy white head. Grainy, biscuity aroma with a citrusy edge. Taste is bready, light sweetness, bready with a hint of lemon peel. Really solid Pils.
