Big restaurant with a nice, large biergarten in the back, huge menu with loads of German specialties (as well as other nationality specialties), and really tasty beer brewed on site. I ate with three other people and we all loved every dish served, and we also loved all the beers we tried, which included a helles, dunkel, bierbowle (dunkel with fruit), and hefe. The helles and dunkel were the best beers I've had during my first week in Germany (trying numerous beers throughout the week). They offer cheap pizza during happy hour as well as a daily lunch buffet. We'll be going back again for another meal or two, and likely daily for the beers for the remaining two weeks we stay in Giessen. Definitely a place worth having a drink and a meal!
