The English ale yeast contributes dark fruit flavor and aroma, which pairs nicely with the bread, biscuit, and caramel notes provided by the Maris Otter and caramel malts. The hop presence is moderate, with subtle floral, earthy, tea-like characteristics shining through. At 10% ABV, it’s truly a sipper best shared with good company.
