Poured from 16oz can filled at the brewery into a dimpled mug.
Appearance: medium amber hue with a clear body and a thin finger of frothy ivory foam. Pretty color, though more head would be nice.
Smell: toasty, bready, and just a little biscuity; kind of a classic "amber" profile. There's a moderate sweetness; it's not bad.
Taste: similar to the aroma, but with a bit less of a biscuit character. Definitely bready, though not too heavily so; there's a lager crispness here that balances the amber character quite nicely. Hoppiness is mild, but definitely present and it doesn't get lost in the malt. I like it.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: normally I'm not a huge fan of the amber ale/amber lager flavor profile, but this is done well. There's a happy medium achieved between the breadier, biscuitier qualities and the brighter, crisper qualities of a lager. I dig it.
