Look: Nearly clear golden in color with a spry white head that builds and quickly settles to a film, leaving good lacing behind
Aroma: Guava fruit and juice, bready notes, a little light malt sweetness, and some fruity esters
Taste: Starts out with some bread-driven malt before guava jumps in and cements as the focal point. Lots of guava flesh and juice in the mix along with some overall fruitiness and closes with some nice but mild malt sweetness
Mouthfeel: Full but light, clean throughout, medium-high carbonation, and a soft finish
Overall: This is good stuff. Unless someone has an aversion to guava fruit, this might be the most approachable beer I’ve had in months. A subtle, tasty, and well-made Golden Ale that incorporates enough guava to make its presence known without overtaking the beer’s subtleties. Another good one from a brewery I enjoy
