Joined by our much adored friends at Pretty Decent Beer Co. We set out to brew two silky IPA’s, both with the same malt bill, the same yeast, but one to showcase a blend of our favourite New Zealand hops, and the other to showcase a blend of our favourite Australian hops.
Chris, Head Brewer at PDBC, joined us in Cornwall mid last month to brew the first beer, Take A Trip To London:
Nectaron, Nelson Sauvin, and Motueka all made the cut for this New Zealand hop showcase. All additions were added post fermentation for aromas of steamed mango, and flavours of ripe kiwi, nectarine sorbet and a hint of lemon zest. The flavour profile is complimented with a sweet, silky mouthfeel, and an incredibly delicate bitterness.
Best paired alongside Take A Trip To Cornwall, the Australian sister version to our New Zealand IPA, which we brewed with the Pretty Decent crew in Walthamstow late last month!

440ml can.
L: Fresh squeezed orange juice with one finger of white foam that recedes to a thin cap but leaves some arcs of lacing.
S: Overripe tropical fruit. Rich and heady.
T: Mango, orange pith and Sauvignon Blanc, like a tropical fruit mimosa minus any fizz.
F: Medium body, rounded mouthfeel and a drying finish.
O: A solid, earthy, tropical, citrusy, slightly dank NEIPA from London/Cornwall.
