Mr Milksop is a rich, chocolatey stout which features layers of caramel, crystal and roasted malts, along with a myriad of oats. This malt base gives it a thick, smooth and milky mouthfeel, which is rounded off with a warming roasty bitterness. We swapped out the usual addition of lactose for a plentiful amount of oats, this keeps the rich mouthfeel of the beer, but also makes the beer accessible for all of our vegan friends!

440ml can. A vegan milk stout? Hmm. What’s the point, I wonder?
The “myriad of oats” don’t provide the mouthfeel suggested and don’t deliver sweetness so aren’t a replacement for the missing lactose. Consequently, this is an okay-ish, chocolatey-ish dry stout but a very poor milk stout. The mouthfeel is thin and slightly acidic so completely wrong for the style and there’s no sweetness at all. Sorry Bluntrock. Love your beers, but not this one.
