From the small bottle (kleines helles), it pours a clear light golden color with a small white head that stays. The nose gets some grainy malt with light floral notes. The mouth follows with a lightly bitter malt brew with some fruity notes.

The lower price point and rather plain label on this beer led me to believe that it wouldn't be as good as it actually is. Very strong Helles from Grohe. Certainly better than most other local Hessen beers.

De Labirratorium. En copa de hefe de Bavaria. Estudiando. Helles muy bien hecha, con un perfil maltoso para beber a litros

Brauerei Grohe GmbH “Hell oder naürtrub”
€2.30/0,25L vom fass at the brewery on 18 September 2021
Look: Clear deep gold body beneath a full head of pillowy bright white foam. Excellent head retention that leaves craggy rings of lace above rising mountains just above the liquid level.
Smell: Grainy malt with very mild floral and herbal notes.
Taste: Grainy and bready malt with and underlying nuttiness and some mild apple fruitiness from the yeast. Mildly herbal and spicy. A median to firm bitterness balances it and it finishes dry and lingering.
Feel: Medium bodied and crisp then smooth with a seemingly natural, fine-bubbled standard level of carbonation.
Overall: Quite enjoyable. Very nicely rounded and well-balanced.

Gift straight from Germany.
Amber Golden color with a thin head with short retention.
Aroma with notes of dough, biscuit, herbal hops and a bit of butter.
Flavor with notes of grassy hops, oranges, lemon drops, mild biscuit and grainy malt. Dry aftertaste with a medium bitterness.
Light to medium body with appropriate carbonation.
Decent Munich Helles; easy to drink, faithful to style and well balanced. I can’t name any defects.
