From the bottle, it pours a clear solid coppery color with a modest, long lasting, off-white head. The nose is pleasantly malty with notes of caramel. The taste follows. Nice bock!

Dark copper pour, two finger fluffy light beige head, visibly receding to a very thin cap and lace, not that sticky.
Smell of caramel, unrripe banana, slice of yellow apple, a small whiff of booze. Light sweet malt, really glad there's not a lot of sweetness coming through.
Sweet malt, randomly fruity start, but not that syrupy, which is cool. Something like sugared expanded wheat/rice too. Caramel, hints of honey, light herbal zing. Some earthy hop in the finish, mild bitterness.
Alcohol is well handled, nicely helping the flavors, without amping up the sweetness. Medium body, just a bit sticky, prickly carbonation. Sweet malty aftertaste, somewhat spicy, faint hint of metal.
A decently balanced bock, simple, pedestrian maybe, with just some small negligible faults.

It had a brown-red body with about three fingers of off white head that disappeared quickly into a spread out lace. It had a sweet wood like smell. The taste was a bit metallic at first but that settled quickly. Very sweet and full flavor after that. It is a little bit heavier than a regular bock but not as heavy as double.

Nice nut brown color with short beige head. Aroma is light roast grains, taste is a bit stronger, burnt toast and mild bitterness. Palate is spot on, lingering bitterness and medium-heavy mouth feel. Nicely done bock.

Produces about two fingers of light tan head, which laces well right off the bat. The body is copper in color, and quite clear.
Has an odd bourbon like aroma to it, which makes this rather interesting. There is just a hint of a sweet malty undertone, but the bourbon thing is new to me for the style.
Taste wise, it's on par with the style: Sweet, almost cola like flavors, which are quickly cut through with a cooked vegetable/herbal flavor.
Feels prickly with carbonation, but gives way to an oily slickness. Somewhat creamy too.
This is one of the better bocks I've had in a while. It's almost as complex as a doppelbock, but not as sweet.
