Copenhagen 10 /12 2021. 75 cl bottle from Føtex, Mimersgade, Kbh. N. Purple label in the Danevang brand's usual design, A Goose with a Christmas decoration hanging from the beak as poster animal.
Pours clear chestnut with big yellowish head. Stable. Settles as thin but consistent layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the side of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with sweet malty odor mingling with more sugary, candy-like fumes. Dark, toasted malts, caramel and toffee. Brown sugar. sweet raisins peeking in.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, greasy, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness, Aftertaste is sweetish with a bitter undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
Sweet Brown Ale with a modest touch of Christmas. And too sweet for my taste buds.
