Copenhagen 13/12 2020. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. Dark label with the name of the beer in capital letters with the supermarket chain Meny’s logo to ensure the Christmas mood.
Pours clear copper brown with small, bubbly yellowish head. Disappears after a few seconds leaving no foam behind. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of Christmas spices and sugar. Caramel, candied sugar, anise. Light hints of citrus.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is surprisingly bitter with a sweet undercurrent.
A not too sweet, generic take on a Christmas beer.
