Copenhagen 9/11 2020. 50 cl bottle from SuperBrugsen, Brønshøj Torv, Brønshøj. Transparent plastic label with the coat of arms of Frisjenborg.
Pours dark, almost opaque. brown with a small off-white head. Settles as a thin, patch of foam unable to cover much of anything. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a strong sweet sugary odor. Roasted -almost burnt - dark malts. Caramel and toffee. Hints of brown sugar and nuts. A boozy whiff of alcohol.
Medium carbonation. Thin, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet. Lingers for a while. Finish is burnt and boozy.
Not without a roasted, sweet and boozy charm.
