Oktoberfest is a major German folk festival that Skanderborg Bryghus supports. It is a festival with proud roots dating back to 1810, when it first saw the light of day in Munich. The festival actually originated on the occasion of a royal wedding, but nowadays, it is celebrated as a major folk festival.
Our Oktoberfest Beer is an elegant and aromatic beer that, from the dark roasted malts, brings out notes of caramel, freshly baked bread and nuts.

Copenhagen 23/8 2020. 75 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv. Crude drawing of a German Waitress handing out mugs of foaming golden beer on the label. More exactly named Oktober Fest Øl. Tagline is "Let the Party Begin". Quite odd as most Oktober fest activities seems to be cancelled this year.
Pours clear golden amber with a small white head. Bubbly. Disappears after a few seconds. Not the like golden mugs on the label. No lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet malty odor supplemented by a chemical sourness. sweet pale malts, hobby glue and grains.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish. Lingers for a bit (too long). Finish is sugary.
Not exactly a beer I would bring to a party.
