Copenhagen 14/12 2021. 50 cl bottle from Aldi, Frederikssundsvej, Kbh. NV. Off white label with a lot of Danish Flags. Apparently we are celebrating something.
Pours clear amber with a big white head. Fairly stable. Settles as a thin but consistent layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a malty sweet odor mingling with a metallic scent. Caramel, toasted pale malts, brown sugar. Tin foil.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a burnt edge. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
Not exactly celebratory material - but not too horrible.
