Apoptosis Brewing Company

We stopped here at opening time to try their beers and to have a late lunch. Parking is available at one side and to the rear. A patio is at the other side. Their kitchen doesn't open until an hour after opening, so we ordered a flight of 4 beers and wesnt elsewhere for food.. They weren't busy at mid-afternoon on a Friday. Ordering is done at the bar. The interior has plenty of tables/chairs, high and standard height. Seating is also available at the bar. A partition-like structure divides the main space into two areas, and the front area has a gas fireplace for extra ambiance. Service and vibe were good.

The beers were just okay, although I noted some astringency in the maibock. None of the beers was notable. They offer 4-, 10- and 16-ounce pours. Besides the 8 beers there were two seltzers, and two taps were not in use. The food menu has nachos, tacos and quesadillas, but we didn't want to wait until the kitchen opened, so we did not try anything.

Newish (~6 mo. old) brewery in Kalamazoo, with an unapologetic mix of beer and seltzer on their board. I appreciated the variety of options, although the beers I tried as a whole did not stand out. I will revisit again down the road.
Light eats, plus rotating food trucks on occasions. The space was previously a bagel shop, for those local history buffs. Right off of Westnedge, in an area that could use a good local.
