Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Intensely crystal clear. Shimmering like there is nearly nothing in the glass with clarity that is like a mirror. Deep brass bright yellow with a very large forming head right out of the can. Fortunately the head settles fairly quickly, but nothing crazy while leaving quite a good amount of leggy and pill like lacing. Quite a neat looking brew.
Sweet sensing hop nose for the aroma, that has a sugary like citrus quality. Quite a bit overboard it seems with a big hinting honey component like quality as well, but solidly pleasurable.
Palate continues more of the goods. Sweet touching hop citrus, more of a light tangerine quality, with touching grapefruit pith particularly towards the finish. Juiced slightly in hop flavor, but also fairly dry and mineral like. Flirts with classic West coast style but doesn't quite get it dialed in.
While some of the great sense of classic style seems to be here, there's a spin an different touch on this than expected. Still a solidly good drinking IPA with little fanfare.
