The Nelson Sauvin, Vic Secret and Citra hops leave “Happy Days” bursting with tropical aromas of melon, ripe kiwi and hints of pineapple. The lush, golden color and white fluffy head give way to a sip bursting with passion fruit, kiwi and feijoa flavors.

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Two and a half finger forming head, slightly soapy, with a real bleach white appearance. Slightly hazed but not turbid looking appearance with a hint of dark gold and orange colors, with a still opaque like look.
Very juiced up notes on the nose. Big amounts of fresh pineapple and tropical exotic fruit notes. Sweetness feels nicely balanced and not out of control either. Real enticing fruit hop aroma.
While the aroma leads to an enticing anticipating palate, much of that doesn’t transfer over. Lightly feeling and almost wet with a session IPA quality, flavors while positive and continuing a hop tropical theme come out just a bit flat. Lightly juiced melon more than pineapple with a bit of fleeting herbal spice that keeps things from getting too sweet.
Overall it seems like this just needs to be dialed in a bit more to make a real solid IPA.
