Brown 33cl bottle with a black, gold and white label featuring a polar bear on a snow-covered slope. Silver and blue foil around the neck Purity law applies. Best before April 2005, I opened it on 12/23/04.
Clear, rather flat looking gold under a 1/2 finger white head that faded immediately to absolutely nothing. Lots of bready malt in the nose, with a touch of metallic hops. Quite prickly and light. Taste is dominated by metallic hops, tinny and rusty-bitter. There is some sweet malt here, too, but it can't smooth the rough edges. The tinniness lasts through the finish and into the aftertaste. This one is too one dimensional, and a not very pleasant dimension at that.
