Picked this up at a great beer shop in Darmstadt, Germany, Maruhn Welt der Getränke. Slightly hazy amber-orange pour with a one finger creamy white head with minimal retention and decent lacing. The nose is somewhat malt forward with nice tropical notes along with hints of tangerine, caramel, toffee, and brown bread. The taste is also malt forward with sweetness approaching being cloying with hints of brown sugar, caramel, toffee, pine, and some subtle grapefruit. The mouthfeel is syrupy and thick for an IPA and is just way too sweet for my tastes with a sourish off-putting finish. Overall, unfortunately another malt-forward German craft IPA that is sadly the norm for most.

A well made IPA by this brewer. Fluid is darker copper and the smell is inviting. My kind of IPA!
