A moderate to moderately high hop aroma of floral, earthy or fruity nature is typical. A moderate caramel-like or toasty malt presence is common. The Edwin Fox, the last remaining wooden sailing ship to have carried India Pale Ale from London to the thirsty east which was wrecked during a storm in Sydney Harbor in 1857 and went down with a cargo of 4,000 gallons of brandy, 5,000 gallons of wine, 1,500 gallons of other spirits and 156 barrels of beer. A clear departure from the abundant West Coast IPA style. This English IPA is intended to be a window into the genisis of the IPA style. Broad and bold malt characters are well balanced with a trio of English Hops to give a unique and delightful experience in aroma and taste. While not as bitter forward, this traditional IPA is enjoyable to both hop heads and less hoppy beer drinkers.

Pint from draft at their small garage sized brewery in a small industrial building. This was much darker and maltier than expected. Rich, caramel, sweet malt with a fairly hoppy finish, more than most English IPAs. Unique but looking forward to something closer to TT Landlord.
