Useless Creatures Brewing Company

We stopped here to try their beers and to have dinner. The place is located in a double storefront setting on the main street in downtown. Parking was at the curb for me, although there is a city lot at the rear with an entrance to the pub at the back of the building. The main area has a small bar that seats 4 people to one side. Tables/chairs and bench seats line the other wall. There is an overflow space in the next room to the side behind the bar. The brewing equipment is visible there. The brick wall, hardwood floor and beaded-wood ceiling give this space a nice vibe. Service is at the bar, and was very prompt. Our food order arrived before we were expecting it.

There are 10 taps that held 8 beers and two ciders. (There was one beer on the menu behind the bar that wasn't on the printed menu, so check both.) A couple each of red and white wines were also listed. We ordered a sampler flight of 4 beers. Each was brewed well to style, although the barrel-aged imperial stout had a strong alcohol taste to it that was overcoming the stout. I gave a 3.94 overall rating to the beers.

The food menu is pretty typical for brewery pubs, and what we ordered was very good. My wife ordered the cheesecake for dessert but was too full to eat it so we took it home. It was excellent the next day. Crowlers are available for beer to-go. This place is worthy of a visit if you're in the area.

Located right along the main street in Three Rivers, Useless Creatures has an inviting, lively vibe to it. They offer an extensive food menu, with some seasonal treats (fresh corn, peaches), along with a generous selection of decent beers.
