Taster at brewery. Rosé colored pour, fizzy carbonation. Light fruity, floral aroma. Taste is sweet, bready, floral. Doesn't last long on the palate though

my first beer from these guys, i guess i didnt even realize that ogden river had closed and these guys had taken over, when did that go down? anyway, this is a real strong first impression, a unique and delicious beer that does a lot of things at once yet ends up being extremely drinkable and refreshing in the summer heat. gorgeous pink color to it, fast fading head settling back to just a thin quarter inch, high shine and good clarity, electric flamingo tone here, silky looking, lively. there is no doubt they used real hibiscus in this and plenty of it. there is that intense tartness and floral earthiness you get from good hibiscus tea, this has that for sure, the flowers add bitterness, some organic sensual aromatics, and a hint of citrus, really nice job capturing the essence of the hibiscus in nose and taste. the base beer is simple, a light wheat malt type base, nothing from the yeast although there is some natural pucker from the hibiscus, and hardly any appreciable hops, but there is enough bitterness from the flowers that i dont miss any hops, this drinks complete as it is. lemon, fresh herbs, dragon fruit, strawberry and raspberry, so light in body and tight and clean on the ferment. an assertive recipe with a whole lot of hibiscus but its an amazing natural flavor reminiscent of the best hibiscus teas, and the beer overall shows some real technical competence. i was stoked on this one and am eager to get down there and check the place out! great first impression here!
