We’re proud to partner with our friends at Vancouver Island Brewing to create this famous West Coast treat – starting with chocolate on top, vanilla in the middle, and finally a base note of coconut with a balanced sweetness throughout. For an extra special treat because you deserve it…we aged this porter in Kentucky Bourbon barrels for 6 months adding hints of toffee and oak flavours. A well-balanced sweetness throughout and as decadent as the dessert itself. It is sure to keep you warm on a cold winter’s day.
Nanaimo Bar Porter was brewed with a slightly higher alcohol content to allow for aging and cellaring. Store the product upright in a cool area and away from direct sunlight. Ideal temperature for this beer is between 50-55° F.

Thanks to Chris for this special bottle. 750 ml bottle served cool into a tulip.
Appearance -Hazy dark chocolatey brown coming from the bottle and nearly black in the glass. Very little head to speak of.
Smell - Sweet nanaimo bars, a little chocolate, vanilla some bourbon, toffee and oak.
Taste - Semi sweet, with the nanaimo bars coming through, but plenty of booze and wood as well. Some chocolatey accents at the end. Toffee mixed in over an earthy vibe. For 23 proof the ABV is minimized.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied, low carbonation easy to drink with a semi-dry finish and a bit of boozy heat in the back of the throat.
Overall - An excellent sipper and definitely one for sharing as a whole bottle might be too much for one go. Still a delicious bottle that has had the sweetness dialed back some with the barrel aging and the introduction of wood, earthy notes and toffee compliment this brew very well.
