Had on tap at the taproom
On arrival 1 finger of fine heavy head was present that slowly receded to a thin covering of bubbles. Body is a hazy golden yellow.
Aroma is bready with a slight hit of diacetyl. Quite sweet and spicy, with a light fruity note. Makes me think holidays for some reason.
Taste follows the aroma but brings up the spice and fruit by a lot. Unfortunately the diacetyl is still there. Very bready with a sweet and phenolic finish. Definitely unique.
Feel is super dry but with a long lingering finish. Definitely not a summer wheat, but it isn't heavy either. Long mouthcoating finish.
Overall this is decent for this place having a monopoly on the brewery sector in Martin's Ferry, but they Definitely focus more on the restaurant side of things. This is one of the 4 beers they brew.
