16 oz can into a willi belcher glass.
Pours a deep maroon color with a 2 finger pink-white head. Moderate retention with minimal lacing.
The aroma brings notes of blackberries, black currant and bready malt.
Taste follows the nose: blackberries, black currant and black cherries with plenty of white bread malt.
The feel is medium-full bodied with pretty good carbonation. Crisp, yet creamy with a dry finish.
Overall, this is far from a traditional berliner but it's definitely a good sour beer. It's brewed with blackberries and yeah, there's a lot of blackberries. Nothing special or complex, but it's a flavorful beer that gives you exactly what is advertised.
