16oz undated can.
Pours cloudy gold with an inch of white fluff. Moderate retention and lacing. Peach, mango, orange in the nose. Medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel. Juicy tropicals on the palate with minimal malt or bitterness. Finishes juicy and a bit sweet.

This collaborative brew with Widowmaker is a very nicely balanced New England style double IPA at 8.5%.
It pours with a big, dense, white head which persists, but has an almost opaque, slightly drab straw color.
It has a nice clean aroma of grapefruit and tropical fruit.
A slightly sweet grapefruit/orange flavor predominates. The malt is just a neutral background for the hops to shine, and there is just enough hop bitterness and pithiness to offset the sweetness from the malt and alcohol.
The light body and high carbonation give the beer a very fluffy mouthfeel. The finish is soft, pithy, and slightly warming.
Initially I found this beer very enjoyable. However, a subsequent pint caused me to modify my previous review.
Despite the pleasant aroma and citrus flavors, the persistent, dull pithiness became unpleasant.

Poured into a 16 oz Nordic pint, not sure when it was canned but with in the last 3 weeks I am guessing. Pours a milky yellow with a solid finger sticky white head that leaves thin streaks of lace with nice retention. 4.5
Aroma is peach, white grapes, mango, mandarin, passionfruit, and apricot. 4.25
Taste follows but more defined and better. Peach, buttery Chardonnay, mango, mandarin, passionfruit, and apricot well balanced and very tasty. 4.5
Mouthfeel is above average, soft gentle almost creamy carbonation, not sticky or dry, and at 8.5% big flavor but very easy drinking. 4.75
Overall a big time winner for me. Mosaic, Motueka, Citra, Galaxy, and Nelson Sauvin are the hops they used. Modestman is really good at using Nelson and that is not the easiest to brew with. Well done. 4.5

IPA - Imperial / Double New England
Smooth operator full of grainy goodness. Hops are fresh and earthy with a tangy tropical vibe. Silky malts are in fine balance with these complex and deep multitude of hop strains. Nice collab with Widowmaker Brewing. High grade hop juice per usual.
