my first ever from these guys and i absolutely adored it, as did my wife, courtesy of my brother, a generous and exciting four pack bring from a brewery i had never heard of before this one, dope art on the labels. lovely color on it, packed with blackberries, pretty saturated purple color to this, a little fuller looking for the style and for its abv, but gorgeous saturation and really intense color, frothy headed and lively too. the nose is tangy but not overly so, lemony but largely clean on the sour without insane acidity, still mouthwatering with some natural berry tang too, and in addition to juicy ripe fresh blackberry, which is over the top in this, i also get black currant and blueberry, subtle on the grain side but beery enough, clean and interesting, spirited and summery, impressive immediately. tangy flavor, some obvious citrus with the deep and intense dark berry, amazingly natural fruit character, and the shocker for me is how dry this is, for being so fruit forward it almost defies logic and science. subtle red wine character as it warms, zested lemon, the faintest wheat thing, almost gone on the swallow which is crazy, rushing carbonation makes it refreshing, super bright overall and just quenching and delicious. enjoyed each can of this i had, and am super keen now to try more from them! really top notch berliner, beautifully fruited.
