As I go through the lineup of Detention I am continuously impressed by the quality of their brews, and this one was no different.
This pours out a superb golden blonde colour with a solid and extensive bright white head. Looks excellent.
Plenty of toasty malting up front on the aroma, a little bit of toffee and caramel, maybe a bit of honey. Smells like a solid blonde overall.
Taste is a creamy medium to full body, lots of refreshing graininess with a hint of hops at the end, but malt centric for sure. Extremely crushable on a hot summer day.
I think they nailed it. A very respectable blonde ale.
