A gift from the family in August 2023. Drunk in October.
L: Bright orange with LOTS of yeast/trub/sediment swirling around the glass. The head is white and bubbly but quickly disappears. Lots of carbonation keeps the sediment suspended.
S: Definite peach notes, which is surprising given the can is nine months old. Some soft tropical fruit notes are evident, too.
T: The age of the can means most of the advertised tropical flavours have faded, leaving bitterness and a peach note, but I like my IPAs bitter, so no complaints here.
M: Mouthfeel is quite sharp, and there's a slight numbness in the mouth after the swallow, presumably from the DDH treatment the beer underwent, which the age of the beer might have exacerbated.
O: Rating this higher than the scores would suggest, as I suspect the age of the can means I'm not experiencing the brewer's intention as I drink this beer.
Cheers!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
