Sold in green bottles, so I was expecting the worst. Surprisingly was very fresh and clean tasting. Not the greatest Helles by far but not a bad choice either.

On tap at Market of Choice.

A clear straw yellow with a dense white head with good retention and lacing this looks solid. The nose is a blend of soft bready malt, mildly honey like with a little Munich malt character , with a mild lemon hop character. A touch of straw as well. The palate opens with a blend of honey, bread, a little smooth butter that complements the hop and the malt. Mildly bitter with a blend of lemon and a little earth. Drying on the finish with a mild Munich malt character and a little bitterness there's a touch of unctuous character that's a little out of place, especially when juxtaposed with the light body and excessively high carbonation. Decent stuff.

Had on tap. Pour a goldenrod with plenty of white foam on the head. Smells of wheat, amber malts, and yeast. Taste is full of the signature amber tones and biscuit flavors, and has a hint of elderberry on the finish. Little thin in the body to want to have again, but solid crushable helles

On tap at Unter Biergarten in Rochester, NY.

This one pours a mostly clear bright yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This doesn't smell like a whole lot- light fruity yeastiness, sweet grains, and grassy hops. It doesn't exactly pop out of the glass.

This is tasty and drinkable enough, but doesn't do much that's super interesting. I get a light and slightly sweet malt character, and a lightly bitter grassy hop flavor. Everything about this is light, which is to be expected, after all.

I wish this was a bit more crisp on the finish, but the body is nice and light and this is pretty drinkable.

It's fun to try new German beers, but this is certainly not one of the best that I've had.

Poured into a pilsner glass. Pours a light to medium golden amber with a one finger white head that dissipates to large patches leaving good lacing. Aroma of lightly grainy biscuit malt, grassy Pilsner hops, mildly floral hay and a hint of skunk, even though this is from a can. Flavor is lightly husky and grainy biscuit malt, grassy hops and mild field hay. Flavor tapers off into a classicly flavored grassy hop finish. Light to medium bodied with active carbonation. A good traditionally flavored helles lager that is true to the aroma and hop profile. The flavor is fine at first, but lightens up leaving less of the pleasant grain forward malt in the finish. Fortunately, the classic noble hops leave a good lingering German lager finish. Can is a few months old, but the field flavors in the malt make me want to try this fresh.

Poured out a clear, golden color with a good deal of bubbly carbonation. Fizzy white head. It smelled floral with caramel and grains. Nice sweet flavor with a slightly spicy bitterness

Nothing fancy here - just solid German engineering. pours pale yellow, and is crystal clear. minimum white head, with a little lacing on the sides of the glass. nose is barley, hay, grass, with some cereal grains across the tongue. clean finish, with a touch of malt in the back. easy drinking 4.9%er.

New in the BC market I tried this yesterday. 500ml can with a best before of 29/09/16

L - Yellow gold in colour, thin bubbly head disapates quickly,

S - Not much on the nose, a touch of grain but not very distinct.

T - sweet after tone and a slightly malty character, not a ton of character

F - light and crisp, good hot weather lager

This is a solid euro lager, it's crisp and clean and easy to drink. 4.9% alcohol but feels lighter, a nice king can to have in the cooler on a sunny summer day but I wouldn't go out of my way to track it down. Reasonably priced at $2.99 for a 500ml can.
