Visited summer 2023. Founded earlier this year, the brewery is one of just a handful of Malaysia brewers. The main outlet to procure their beer is TAP ROOM KL which is where this address is, however, it’s unclear of brewing is done on premise: there is brewing equipment in the middle of the restaurant, but it’s small (like a killer homebrewer setup) and I can’t imagine brewing where people are eating..
Beers were previously only available here but they’ve now since expanded to other locales in Malaysia.
TAP ROOM KL is is a modern, affluent, IG-vibey district called Bamboo Hills. Seems as if it would be a popular evening spot but I visited on a weekday at lunch and it was dead.
The beers I tried were a pleasant surprise. Nothing was great but evening was solid! Always a bit of an unknown in a new brewery. So far, so good - however here is the rub: only 3 of their beers were available. The instagram page suggests beers sell out frequently. This is where the nano brewery starts to make sense. The beers were solid, albeit basic (Oatmeal Porter, Pils, Pale Ale) and my pils was served in a (branded) tulip
Overall I left happy, it was nice to see craft beer emerging in KL but there are some minor growing pains to work through.
