Copenhagen 11/4 2016. 50 cl bottle from Føtex, Mimersgade, Kbh. NV. Silhouette of London and a golden goat on the label.
Pours clear golden yellow with a white head. Stable. Settles as thin layer of foam - almost transparent. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is malty sweet with a little wet cardboard and a little sourness. Sweet pale malts and bread. Whiff of sour grains.
Pretty strong carbonation for an English brew. Lightly tingling texture.
Flavor has a medium strong bitterness with a moderately strong sweetness for balance.
This is not horrible or anything like that - but it actually reminds me more of a standard German pilsner than an English beer.

Shared 500 ml bottle, as Young’s London Gold, bought in London. ABV is 4.8%. Clear golden colour, white head. Moderate aroma, some sweetish malts, hints of fruity and earthy hops. Medium dry flavour, soft and pleasant to drink, acceptable hops and a slight fruitiness.

500ml bottle conditioned.
L: Very hazy (poured yeast into glass), pale golden colour, very little head.
S: Started skunky but improved to a light honey.
T&F: Underwhelming, watery, some citrus, light body.
O: I like golden ales but this is a bland and disappointing example. Not much of anything going on. Very little of hops or malt.

Bottle conditioned.
Straw colour. Slight haze. Thin frothy head.
Hoppy aroma. Over ripe apples.
Slightly metallic favour. Mild bitterness.
Light carbonation. Quite smooth and easy drinking.
The Ram Brewery would have produced better than this.

A: Golden filtered with lots of fine bubbled carbonation, a half finger of off white head.
S: Skunk, malt, stinky feet, apples if I try hard.
T: Light with little flavor. I get this slight sour almost cider like tartness, a hint of floral hops, clean linen, minute bitterness on the end.
M: Light, dry and crisp, fine bubbled heated carbonation.
O: Must say it didn’t exceed my expectations. Little happening here, if I compared it to an AA Lager, I would think it has more going on, but as far as overall affect its in the same category in my opinion. Paid more than $5 US in Thailand to try this one. Great bottle and label. Drank Oct 4th, 2014 in Chiang Mai.
