Taste the Difference: Winter Warmer Ale (2023) by Sainsbury's
Bevis Maun is drinking a Taste the Difference: Winter Warmer Ale (2023) by Sainsbury's at Untappd at Home
Pours a light brown body with very handsome off white head. Aroma is badly broken down glucose. Flavour is figgy pudding fermented out to quite dry beer. Decent body though

L- Pours a good looking clear chestnut brown with a 5mm creamy looking foam head. Holds very well.
S- Just a touch of rich trad malts.
T- Medium hoppy bitterness (that builds with time on the palate) balanced into quite rich toasty malts. The malts almost have a fragrant aspect to them
F- The vibrant hops stop the palate getting worn. The richer malts and pungency are probably a good style in winter months.
O- Nice. A trad style ale that's punchy enough to be a slow-sipper than a slugger. The depth of the malts is apparent. I'd happily drink this again.
Bought from the big Sainsbury's on Finchley Road in London. £1.40/500ml bottle. 'Seasonal Edition'. BB: 10/Dec-2022. From their 'Taste the Difference' range. One of those own-lable beers where the brewer isn't clear. It's listed on the bottle as 'Eagle Brewery' but that sounds more like a location than a company.
