Osmotar, the mother of all beers, is the North Hämä party beer. In the 1000s, dozens of parties were celebrated a year, and each party had its own sahti. The party lasted as long as there was enough space. The Kalevala says: "who makes a bad party beer, Tuonen's dogs will also bark at him". Osmottare's malts are malted by the brewery itself.
