(review from August 2024) See previous reviews of various versions of Java Abyss, this iteration with good mouthfeel/balance; a nice malty/roasty flavor but a little less javalicious than other versions. Still very quaffable though.

Pours black with a finger or two of khaki foam. Aroma is roasty coffee, followed up by chocolate, lactose sugar, and roasty & toasty malts. Flavor profile is lactose intersecting with roasty and toasty malts. Coffee is present, but less forward than the aroma. Chocolate, both milk and dark, wrap it up. Mouth feel is medium in thickness. Texture is soft & creamy. Overall, well put together. Fun but not over the top.
