Poured into an Euler stange. Pours a moderately hazy, light golden amber with a three finger white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of pale malt, citrus hops, lemon and grapefruit. Flavor is pale and biscuit malt, citrus hops, lemon, yuzu and grapefruit; lightly grassy and floral. Lemony citrus rind finish with medium bitterness. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. The kölsch basics are here, some biscuit malt with a little grain and light to moderate bitterness, but nice herbal hops character. But this has a definite domestic twist, with Citra style dominating for a bright, lemony character with just some grassiness underneath. Light color and light haziness are to style. The profile is reminiscent of a pale wheat ale, but with the more substantial barley malt of a European pale ale. Although not to style, this is a nice take on it and quite enjoyable. Light and pleasantly citrusy.
